TAXI DRIVERS
their patience stretched
a samurai sword ready to cut heads off
never sitting idle beside a chance
to leave behind an anorectic wallet
accidental – on purpose satisfaction
makes them blind
putting a piece of dirt in their eyes
history feigned in chatter
they throw out rhetorical questions
cough germs under new address
vomiting its many
bumming for direct answers (29th August 2013)

WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU HAVE IN MIND
being a noun
dispirited
stands up
walks away from a bus stop seat
where let alone bruise upon bruise
not their faithful admirer
copied faces on a bus
skirt the edges of some gaze
rarely hook attention
like stars hissing down
hanged on invisible string
play notes that could be almost heard
at dawn dissolve in perforation of time
small white pills
wanting anonymity
being a verb
drags its one way ticket
across peaks of buildings (28th August 2013)

DESPITE – IN SPITE
you won’t let me fall asleep
no matter how quietly turn key in
with head bowed down
wait for my getting used to certain things
I put these little sins between fresh bedding
they gradually soak in
unable pillows to have own dreams
become ossified for weeks

delusions abandoned by next today
froze on to a curb
icebound a bit too long
I recognize them in window shopping
mind, paving alley never turns to be a red carpet
with a trailer of tomorrow dozing off on my lap
I tickle minutes in a place across the street
it happened to give best reflection
as where from hearts get drunk while still sober
or clear conscious turns in without us

please lay down with me (27th August 2013)

SHOOTING A COMMERCIAL
I look camera in the eye querying
what way you take your poison
if on ice
my voice so unlike me
a jay ratcheting melody
from out the throat
a commercial smile takes light bulbs
makes others stare into dark endlessly
within first line spoken
they go to corner and face the wall
here is my shame
in the kingdom of dog eat dog
waiting to be found
to behave repeatedly like idiot
does not mean I am an idiot
choose to live authentically:
nightmare assembled by chance

they urge to try the product
sickening chit – chat won’t connect me
how full of liquor our lives are
loathing is embedded in DNA
hate to go through more takes
weekday as a wild animal
I am in it
to pay off fear (16th August 2013)

STAND ALERT TO STRANGERS IN US
the radiators rusty sigh
complicates the room
some couple pretends to argue
as to be inside a family scene
insists against something non insistent
blue eyes turned red
looked over the shoulder
expecting shadows to hug the couple
tight to breath

it takes them long to check pockets
for embarrassing evidence
that they are in a public place
stew of witnesses travels between tables
yet their conversation tastes of Pavlova
keeps on calling each other
a craving (11th August 2013)
