out of Genesis book
after customers’ chaos
God created Tesco
gave it a first customer
so the others would follow
God helped them a little
but every little helps
with zest and goodwill
they formed a nation
stood up from their chairs
eager to contribute

decades passed, Tesco steals privacy
encourages valued customers
to convert nonbelievers
24h mecca is a place where what occurs
also occurs somewhere else
picks of the mass represent a huge power
most of all over them

God wanted all creatures to be happy (20th February 2013)

a love chill
spread around
is the only selling item
she could get for free
so sighs dramatically at stinging paper cut

in a series of moments
crammed full with intense experience
she carries a gift in a plastic bag
her fingernails press hard
into flesh of the palm
want to do something
and call it nothing
she could not keep her gaze off
of a price tag
worries spiral down the throat
lodge in her ribcage
she surprised herself by not casting
to be rescued from the heart of matter
if a plan sucks
vision his let – me – tell – you deserves nothing
which she hopes to get less anyway (14th February 2013)

memory is something
for which they had a fair use
is reversible like a jumper
they must have worn
against bulletproof silhouettes

spoke quietly
of how they were slaughtered
rolled on a table towards families
who did not hear intimate confession
until obituary letter came
can we blame them if
wished to leave cherished words for later
sin inside faith
ripe cherries of blood stains
marooned dressings
on corpse remaining silent
everything mingled
ammunition and foreign languages
second hand days embraced by metal fear
fed themselves with own stinking breaths
out of hunger (12th February 2013)

it was meant to be so…
she neglected to strike a pretty pose
with downcast eyes
felt brow – beaten
by the energy of his purpose
and humiliated by refusal
to understand her grudges
playing the role of suspect mistress
how absolutely not enough that was

ready to leave
when a knock at the door disturbed
old tenderness turned his head
to announce a way too much she could bear:
let me introduce you to my wife (12th February 2013)
