June 2013 (3)

20 June 2013 at 22:29 (Poems/Poetry) (, , )

the pad of a hand
was swallowed by lawn mower rattle
events grew blunt
the weight of policemen stare
blunts family mind
they just sit and bathe in tv healing light
pencil grew blunt from taking report
some officer lends his sympathy to this struggle

she had been writing her obituary for months
only dog-eared book knew
how many
almost anything could be a clue for the police
angel hair as cocaine on a xmas tree
her knees bright like strawberries
throat cut in a cellar next door
evidence second guessed
are still required to record
in intimacy exposed
is where she found heaven
her eyes were shut tight
because she wanted this over
so the case was closed (17th June 2013)
